Balasubramanian Muthuraman

ex-Vice Chairman, Tata Steel Ltd

B Muthuraman has held various positions at Tata Steel as Vice-President (Marketing and Sales), Vice-President (Cold Rolling Mills Projects) and Managing Director. He has served on the boards of Bosch India Limited and Tata Industries Limited. He was the Chairman of the Board of Governors of IIT Kharagpur, NIT Jamshedpur and XLRI Jamshedpur. He is currently on the board of directors of Sundaram Fasteners Limited. He has also been conferred with "Padma Bhushan" in 2012, from Govt. of India. Muthuraman holds a bachelor's degree in metallurgical engineering from IIT, Kharagpur and MBA from XLRI Jamshedpur.
